Positive: Our holiday had all the odds we could imagine: a flight delay, a car rental that didn’t work, a late arrival at our destination, and even a return flight cancellation. But staying with Francisco turned what could have been a nightmare into a truly pleasant experience. He not only waited for us more than two hours after our expected arrival, but also gave us a ride to a lovely nearby restaurant where he had kindly made a reservation for us. Bigues i Riells is a charming village, but without a car it can be quite difficult to get around. Francisco came to our rescue more than once, and we cannot thank him enough for his kindness and generosity. His accommodation is warm and homely, with a beautiful, well-kept garden that’s perfect for enjoying a coffee while admiring the view. The sunrise is absolutely spectacular. The house is spacious, spotless, and truly feels like a home away from home. We sincerely hope to return in the future with more time to enjoy the village’s picturesque views, delicious food, and the most welcoming people.
